9:365 updated - Her Majesty and Napoleon's Army

Philippe: Her Majesty; or, as I like to call her, "the only one that doesn't run away screaming when I take the camera out".

:P

Anna:
My husband's chess set. Napoleon's army is the blue side, with Napoleon and Josephine as the king and queen. I don't know who the king and queen are supposed to be on the red side.

What a cool chess set! And I can see why you call her that, very regal :)

Thanks.

Actually, her full name is Her Royal Highness, Queen Tiger, Mighty Huntress.

The kids were pretty young when we named her. ;-D

Hey, we have that chess set too :)

That little Satyr (on my blog) is part of a very large fountain. I didn't get a full shot this time, but hope to go back in pretty weather when the fountain is flowing and get some more shots.

Thank you for commenting on him. I liks his smile.

I like the perspective on the cat and now I am wondering who the opposing king and queen are supposed to be.

Ok, so I've been able to find out that the red king is the Duke of Wellington - but nothing about who the queen is supposed to be. His wife, perhaps?

And now I've been duly informed, with thanks to my FIL, that the red queen is the Duke of Wellington's wife.
