I've seen these things up close, quite frequently over the years - it was neat to see them here on your blog, out of context for me.
I am getting less embarassed about taking pictures of 'strange' things in public too :)
How wonderful. A familiar gadget for me too. Good to see the detail (usually I'm wihtout my prescription, so everything's a bit blurry).
