Latch hooking is something I haven't tried yet, though I'd sure like to. I don't have the space for the frames right now.
Knitting, on the other hand, I still can't get the hang of. I have all sorts of admiration for people who can manage it. I always somehow screw up on the tension.
I think it's good to keep the hands busy with creative stuff. Keeps the mind active. :-)

I've probably already mentioned this, but my mother was like a machine when it came to knitting, needlework, and all that sort of stuff...
When my dad retired he took up the hobby of lachet-hooking, and could spit out a rug in no time flat... Busy, busy, busy...
