275:365 - First photo assignment

So I'm taking a course; the first assignment had three parts:
- One pic capturing speed (using shutter speed)
- One pic separating subject from background (large aperture)
- One pic capturing everything in focus (hyperfocal)
While I'm not super-happy with them, these kinda work :P

Oh cool -- you'll be a real pro in no time...
Great little assignment, and you did well...

40 years ago I attended (but did not graduate) Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, and the assignments they handed out were a real challenge...   The "critiques" were brutal -- often I got a grade of "reshoot", meaning to try it again...

Good luck, I hope you have a lot of fun with it! Are you able to use a digital camera for your main camera with this course? I looked into a course locally awhile back and they would only allow film cameras. I have one buried somewhere, but really only use digital.

This course deals with the capture elements of photography, as well as the business side of things, and welcomes digital cameras as long as they allow you the control needed (aperture, exposure, etc) for the assignments.
